The Heart
My little granddaughter, Eden and I have made heart drawings, heart paintings, and heart sculptures for each other since she was two years old. When about to visit her in CA, I made a heart sculpture of clay. After it had been fired, I thought it would be nice as a bronze sculpture. I made it into bronze and it became her first bronze sculpture.
I glazed and refired the original heart and donated it to the annual Hospice Valentine’s charity event here in San Miguel de Allende.
Because the heart was made from love, it was admired by others and I was soon making more. It is unbreakable, lasts forever, and is finding it’s way into many meaningful moments.
This lovely heart comes in five different patinas.
